"Two Birds, One Stone" builds upon the themes of the "White Horses" collection, delving deeper into human impact on marine life through a poignant collaboration with artist Daniel Hosego.
Challange
The challenge was to visually depict the harm inflicted on ocean life due to human activities while maintaining a cohesive narrative and aesthetic appeal made from waste materials.
Solution
In collaboration with Daniel Hosego, a compelling drawing was created, intertwining Greek mythology with contemporary issues, which was then printed onto rPET polyester textiles. Garments were meticulously crafted from deconstructed old garments, embellished with embroidered elements from the artwork.
Result
The "Two Birds, One Stone" collection emerges as a powerful fusion of art and fashion, effectively highlighting environmental concerns through a harmonious blend of storytelling, sustainable materials, and innovative design techniques.
